We carried out a comprehensive website upgrade for TQMsoft. We improved and extended the shortcomings of the previous open source system with the help of individually designed modules of our proprietary ICEberg CMS solution. We prepared functional mock-ups and graphic designs of not only the modules, but also an extensive system of user accounts, which can be used on the website to access training materials and consultations with trainers.
The biggest challenge of the project, requiring in-depth analysis and preparation of a detailed specification, was the connection and adaptation of our system to the CRM and API software used by the client, through which training data is updated on the website and orders are sent to the CRM system.
Previous version of the website vs. modifications made
Training catalogue - master list of dates
The most important element on the website are the lists of training dates. The lists can be configured according to various parameters and can also be filtered by subject, industry or date. Each tile contains the colour assigned to the subject, the training symbol, the training name and the date of the next appointment. In the case of guaranteed appointments or online locations, this information is also immediately visible on the tile.
Training - main view of the training product
Each training course in the system has its own individual sub-page, which can consist of a number of elements. Various descriptive fields (objectives, recipients, agenda, etc.), a highlighted list of terms, and the parameters of a particular course are visible depending on whether they have been supplemented with content or included.
With TQMsoft, the content of such sub-pages is automatically synchronised with the customer's CRM system. Each edit of the fields visible on the web page is sent to the API, from which it is fed into our system's database. For convenience and better work on training descriptions, the majority of fields can also be excluded from synchronisation, which allows additional correction or supplementation of the description by the ICEberg CMS panel.
In the above view, the order field is also striking. The so-called 'add to cart' has been appropriately highlighted and appears on the training sub-page if there are any dates for which there are free places. The company's customers can select the dates and place an order, which then goes to TQMsoft's order processing staff.
Basket and ordering of training
A shopping cart and ordering module has been set up in the system, which allows you to reserve or purchase a place for a specific training date for one or more people. During the ordering process, you enter the details of the training participants and complete the process by sending a request or paying for it using online payment.
Each order can go to the TQMsoft staff and CRM system automatically or be sent at a later date after verification by the administrator.
Specialist blog
TQMsoft publishes articles on its website as part of its specialised QnowHow blog. These articles have an individual sub-page design, different from news, which is also realised with the same content module. In the system, it is possible to present the blog atuors in an interesting way, along with linking them to individual user accounts = coaches. Such a link allows coaches to modify their photos or descriptions published with their publications.
Of course, each blog entry can be appropriately tagged and categorised, and the categories visible on the left-hand side also show the number of articles related to the topic.
News, or straightforward articles
News on the site is also articles, but due to the nature of this type of content, its presentation differs significantly from extensive blog posts. Both the list and the sub-page view of the content have been modified so that viewers browsing the site can easily find out what is new in TQMsoft's offerings.
Satirical picture galleries are also articles
Contrary to what the sub-pages with satirical picture galleries look like, this section of the site, which stands out from the rest of the site, is also based on the article module. This is another example of how flexible our CMS is and how simple changes to the template can individualise the perception of the content.
Interesting comic stories are also a source of enquiries, as each article concludes with a contact form that encourages conversation on a wittily drawn topic.
