Key features in ICEberg CMS 5 as Pledge Manager:

Importing users from campaigns (e.g. Kickstarter)

  • Subscriber data/import orders from Kickstarter can be uploaded to the CMS.
  • When importing, you can immediately assign them to a newsletter subscriber group.

Important: when importing, the email must be unique and correct, as it is the login to the system.

Newsletter module

  • Allows the creation of subscriber groups (e.g. 'Kickstarter backers').
  • Ability to import emails from an external source or assign users after importing orders.
  • Each group can have its own content of marketing consents.
  • Consents can be:

    • add and edit at any time
    • change the content, which requires re-approval by the user at the next login.
  • You can check at any time who has accepted which consents and when.

Forcing the completion of the address after first login

  • After the first login (setting of the password by the user) - the system redirects to the address form.
  • Without filling in the address, the user cannot:

    • manage the order
    • delete/add add-ons
    • have an invoice issued.

Handling e-mails and communications

  • The first information email can be sent from the newsletter to the entire group.
  • Subsequent emails already require separate consent in the Pledge Manager system.
  • Handles problematic situations with Apple Private Relay emails:

    • possibility to change the user's e-mail in the admin panel
    • enabling password reminder to a new, valid e-mail.

Handling of marketing consents and regulations

  • The contents of the consents can be edited in the Newsletter / Options module.
  • Consents cannot be automatically selected by users during import - they must accept them at login.
  • If the consent content is changed - the user must accept it again at the next login.

Order and address handling (billing & shipping)

  • The system allows the shipping and billing address to be entered.
  • The user cannot skip entering an email - it is necessary for logging in.
  • Address data is required for:

    • order processing
    • issuing invoices
    • shipping products

Creation of a campaign subpage

  • The campaign subpage is linked to the entry in the campaign module and the author.
  • On the page it is possible to configure:

    • title, description, media (galleries, slider, videos),
    • stretch goals (in the form of sections),
    • additional text or graphic sections.

Management of content sections

  • Automatic sections have an editable name.
  • Additional sections are created using the "add section" button .
  • When editing an additional section, a text editor is available with the option to insert:

    • texts,
    • images,
    • widgets (e.g. photo gallery from the project).

How to insert a gallery:
In the editor you select the button "Insert widget", at the end of the list you select "photo gallery" and then the ready-made galleries or your own gallery.

Resizing images

  • By default, images in the gallery stretch to the full width of the row.
  • You can:

    • change the number of thumbnails in the row,
    • set the maximum width (max-width) for an image by entering the CSS style directly in the editor, e.g:
  • You can also centre images, e.g. by adding a CSS class or wrapper with centering.

Adding stretch goals

  • Stretch goals are sections added manually or as built-in widgets.
  • They can be enabled/disabled and the content can be edited.

Adding and managing widgets

  • Widgets, e.g:

    • photo gallery
    • slider (scrolling images),
    • youTube or Vimeo video,
    • Project Info.

Insertion: via the "Insert widget" button in the section editor.

Configuration of page layout and responsiveness

  • Ability to set column widths and breakpoints.
  • For example:

    • changing the width of a text column,
    • adjusting the layout for mobile resolutions.

Collections and tags

  • The system supports collections (species) and tags.
  • You define collections in the "Collections" tab , assigning a colour and an icon to them.
  • You manage tags in "Taxonomies".
  • Content can then be grouped by collection or tag.

Accessibility (WCAG)

  • The CMS has built-in widgets to improve accessibility:

    • ability to disable images,
    • increase text readability.
  • It is worth remembering that when images are switched off, the descriptions on the graphics disappear - so it is recommended that the most important information is also provided in text form.

Shipping Zones

  • Delivery zones in ICEberg CMS 5 are groupings of countries, used when defining delivery costs in a campaign.
  • At the moment they are mainly needed for the assignment of shipping costs, but there was a suggestion to expand with the possibility to filter orders by zone (e.g. for exports to logistics partners).
  • At the moment, delivery zones = delivery cost zones.
  • You can:

    • Assign countries to a delivery zone.
    • Set delivery costs for the respective zone.
    • Later use these zones to export data for logistics (after possible expansion of the system).

User Groups

  • Allow you to assign orders to specific time groups, such as Early Bird.
  • In a group you set:

    • Activity dates and times - from when to when orders are to be assigned to a group.
  • This allows you to:

    • Give special prices for products to users in the group.
    • Facilitate the segmentation of orders (e.g. Early Bird, Late Pledge).

Stretch Goals

  • The system has a Stretch Goals module with the possibility of adding campaign goals.
  • Output:

    • These are stored in the system and calculated, but are not yet actively presented on the campaign page.
    • You can enter their number, threshold and status manually.
  • It is planned to plug them into the campaign system in the future.

Add-ons and Rewards

  • Add-ons: simple products linked to a product in the catalogue.
  • Rewards (Rewards): grouped products (can consist of one or more items).

    Adding / Editing:

    • You assign products from the catalogue in the campaign module.
    • You can edit:

      • Campaign price (different from the shopprice ).
      • Short description - visible on the tile (plain text, no formatting).
      • Long description and additional description - visible on the details page (with content editor).
      • Categories - the product must be assigned to the correct category to appear in the selection list in the campaign.
      • Attributes - currently not used in the campaign.
      • Tags, collections, labels - for standard catalogue organisation.
      • Stock - not used in the campaign, only valid in the shop.
      • External identifiers, EANs - not used in the campaign, optional.

Data import and export

  • Ability to export campaign data for logistics partners.
  • Logistics tab for easy export of orders by zone or group.
  • When importing orders, you can assign them to groups based on when the order was placed.

Prices and stocks

  • Campaign prices are independent of the prices in the shop catalogue - you can override them.
  • The stock levels of the products do not matter in the crowdfunding campaign (zero in stock does not block sales).
  • Standard prices and stock levels apply in the shop after the campaign.

Reward and addon management

  • Products (rewards and add-ons) can have a set:

    • Price for the crowdfunding campaign
    • The final price in PLN (after the campaign)
    • Availability dates - the system will only display them within certain time frames (e.g. from 15 February).
    • Visibility on the website - regardless of availability (e.g. product only visible as part of a set).
  • Ability to assign addons to specific rewards, with an assigned shipping wave and delivery costs.

Advanced product availability management

  • Products can be:

    • Available at a specific time (e.g. limited editions)
    • Hidden on the page but technically active (e.g. addon only set)
    • Scheduled to appear automatically in the future

Support for front-end users (Backers)

  • User registration and login
  • Account creation by administrators with password assignment
  • Registration can be enabled or disabled (e.g. for testing purposes)
  • Users can add prizes and extras to the shopping basket, edit orders and process payments

Handling of basket, payments and summaries

  • Possibility of adding/removing awards and add-ons
  • Dynamic order summary (fixed on the right-hand side of the screen)
  • Colour coding (e.g. red header when there are unpaid orders)
  • Payment button accessible from the summary

Importing data from a crowdfunding campaign

  • Import:

    • User accounts
    • Their orders
    • Assigned rewards and addons
  • The import requires previously correctly configured:

    • Prices
    • Taxes
    • Shipping costs
    • Consents and address data
